First, I was not a hottie. I wasn't a mega-nerd, but I wasn't cool. Just so we're clear. I'm only using the hottie title because it's funny—for a lot of the other people linking up, too, I hope.
Secondly, my senior picture isn't all that embarrassing. The late 90s were a fairly neutral time fashion-wise. Although I've always been fairly neutral. I've never been trendy, which means I wasn't super cool, but it also means there aren't many embarrassing photos of me in 80s fashions.
So, for your viewing pleasure, here is my not-that-lame-or-embarrassing senior picture:

My senior picture. Books make me look smart! |
Not embarrassing at all...where was the big hair? ;)
ReplyDeleteYou *do* look smart and absolutely adorable! *Love!*
ReplyDeleteRachel! Please tell me how you've convinced blogger to allow threaded comments.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you were so cute! And is it just me, or does the book background make your brain look bigger?
@The Mrs I found a code somewhere! I just Googled "reply on Blogger comments" and it gave me a site with a code. Heck if I could find it again. :) I wish they were nested, though.
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThat does not even come close to nerd. Trust me, I know. Trust me.
ReplyDeleteClassy and beautiful! But you miss out on all the humiliation today! Good for the soul.
ReplyDelete@Elena I graduated in 1998. Big hair wasn't really a thing...
ReplyDeleteOk, so I graduated in the 80's. No pictures to prove it (she says) but all the good movies in the last 5 -10 years have been written by people from the eighties?! I maintain the 70's was the decade of bad taste! Always enjoy your blog. God bless, Tracy
ReplyDeleteYour picture came out so well! I love the short hair.
ReplyDeletegreat picture!!!!! You looked so pretty and I'm 10 years older than you...so I feel OLD now. ;)LOL
ReplyDeleteVery cute. Yes, books DO make you look smart. I'm wearing a feather boa and have some nasty sparkley background stuff in mine. That makes a girl look trashy :)
ReplyDeleteYou look so darn cute and smart. I love your hair. Sassy.
ReplyDeleteNow that is not embarrassing at all.
ReplyDeleteI beg to differ.
ReplyDeleteI think your hair is trying to be big.
AND...
do I detect a dangly heart earing?
I think I do.
@Leighann My hair is naturally curly---this pic is me keeping it from being big. lol It's not intentionally big. And that is a heart earring! I still have that set, actually...
ReplyDeleteRachel, I love your smile, then and now. Definitely not an embarrassing pic. I have one in front of books too!
ReplyDeleteSurely have one embarrassing picture somewhere?? Please.... :)
ReplyDeleteI love your line about books making you look smart! Just what every graduate needs, right? Thank you so much for linking up!
ReplyDeleteVery classy picture.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture! It is far better than my Senior photo! haha Oh my gosh...I laugh at myself here while shaking my head. I had such blonde hair...and the guy who took my photo cast the light behind me in such a way that the photo taken cast me in this "angelic" type light-scene, and it is ridiculous! haha I will have to dig out my yearbook to get that scanned and send it to you...oh my gosh, it is just crazy!
